Made with 14kt gold filled or sterling silver wire and black lava rock, these earrings are a statement piece. Shaped, hammered and polished to highlight texture and reflect the light, they are reminiscent of a steel drum. A single lava rock swings like a pendulum - searching for balance.

Gold-fill is an actual layer of gold bonded with pressure to another metal, usually brass or copper. Gold-fill is not to be confused with gold plating as gold-fill has a much thicker layer of gold. Sterling silver is an alloy of silver that contains 92.5% of silver and 7.5% of other metals, usually copper. Because of those other metals, sterling silver will tarnish over time if not stored properly, but the discoloration can be easily removed.
